I'm educated as a lawyer but now ready to quit & move to the Philippines once the covid19 ban is lifted--hopefully soon! I have been vaccinated w/Pfizer so that's good. I'm not sure where I want to go but I'll probably visit several places before settling down. Of course I'm always up for learning a new language (Visayan? Tagalog? Ilonggo?). I am looking for as the end result, I've never been a playboy. I'd like to find a nice city with a nice neighborhood to find a house or maybe a large condo to live in. I'd rather live in a house but we (foreigners) are allowed to own condos in the Philippines. Prefer to live in a town near an airport with decent eating & shopping choices. I'd like to be able to take my partner on trips around the islands or to Vietnam, Thailand, etc. Which region doesn't really matter to me if I find the right partner & she prefers to live there. I am financially secure & don't need my partner to work unless that is something they want want to do. I guess life is a learning process because here I am still learning. Even though I've had my share of relationships I've never found that one that will stick. I thought I'd find her by now but because I've been working overseas and been to war in the US Army several times it never worked out. You just have to stand up, dust yourself off & keep believing (hoping?) that romance is still a thing. I'm quite active I work-out, hike and like exercise. I'm an avid bookworm, are there more out there? I also enjoy movies and music, I love to attend live performances; blues, rock, reggae, whatever as long as it's good music! I love to go dining out a few times a month Italian, Chinese, Mexican, Thai, etc. I even ate at an Ethiopian restaurant once that was outstanding. Live music is always a favorite whether it's rock or jazz or blues or whatever good music is good music. It would be nice to have someone to share this with. Two things that draw me to the Philippines is prevalence of English speakers & the fact that the U.S. has veterans' clinics for Americans living there. People say I have a great sense-of-humor although it's a little off sometimes.
