Hi, I live in a village near Hereford. If you don't know the area, there's some lovely countryside, castles, woods and lots of sheep. I'm a quiet sort I suppose. I like to make people laugh but I'm thoughtful and it takes me a while to get to know someone. I'm pretty well read and have had various careers, science, teaching, health, horticulture. I work in the charity sector now. I am a keen composer and spend a lot of time making music. I love nature, birdsong and walking in the woods or by the sea but I don't have ambitions to travel the world which seems quite popular with some ladies. A glass of vino and some chocolate will do me......I used to be quite a good tennis player. I've just started to learn Russian on Duolingo, not easy but I can order a beer now! I'm very concerned about what we are doing to the world and try to do my bit. I'm a bit old fashioned sometimes and perhaps too honest at times, I suppose I wear my heart on my sleeve. I have a teenage son who lives with me part time. I'm pretty independent and am happy with my own company but I can't say I'm particularly looking forward to the evenings as the nights draw in.
