Single, never married. Recently retired
Still hopeful of finding the one with whom to settle down and live a peaceful, happy life. I have a son, who has his own family and has recently moved 200 miles north, so having retired from being a postman this year, I find myself with more time, but with fewer people with whom to share it. I have a few minor medical issues, but believe I am reasonably fit and able. I have what is almost an addiction for knowledge, and spend lots of time doing quizzes, puzzles and reading. I've lived alone for years, and though I admit to being untidy, I cook adequately and keep the house in reasonable shape. However, I am not a practical man, and any repairs require phone calls to friends and/or trade professionals. If you are into bungee jumps, mountain climbing, or tightrope walking, then we are unlikely to spend too much time together as I suffer with vertigo. I cannot swim, but am a very efficient guard of a towel, partly because they are handy for batting away unwelcome insects.
