Juneau, Alaska is my home... mountains, forest and sea. I enjoy fishing and boating in Southeast Alaska. I'm handy with tools, a DIY guy; I bought an excavator & dump truck to clear my property & had planned to build a new home (reconsidered that). Eventually I want to live in Alaska during summer & spend the cold months somewhere warm & sunny. I'm comfortably retired & have lived alone since 2021. This summer my brother (from Thailand) came to stay with me for a while, he'll probably return soon. The last several years I've enjoyed traveling to Thailand & Philippines for a few months during the winter. I like living in Alaska during summer, but during winter it's nice to be someplace warm. I enjoy golfing a lot, last winter I bought a nice set of clubs & left them at my brother's place in BKK. I'm considering making a 2nd home there... living in hotels & vacation rentals gets a bit tiresome. But I haven't really found a place I want to call home there... I'm keeping an open mind, maybe the future will lead me to choose another place. About me... easygoing, independent, serious minded, work hard when I need to, but don't mind being lazy. Honest & loyal, dependable & down to earth. Socially introverted, quiet and reserved around people who don't know me; don't really enjoy crowds, prefer smaller social groups or just the two of us. Have been told I'm kind, good-natured & goodhearted, with a good sense of humor. Worked at government job for 40 years, comfortably retired. Enjoy fishing & playing golf, watch movies/shows, computer/internet, DIY home projects, biking, camping, travel, cooking & dining. Sometimes hike trails, enjoy walking my dog around the neighborhood every day. Homebody, don't go out much except to visit with family... could be persuaded to do more social activities with a companion. My workshop is full of tools, I cut firewood & use equipment to maintain the property, operate heavy machinery to do construction work... was planning to build houses on the property, but that ambition is reevaluated & currently stalled. Would like a partner who can be supportive to help me attain goals & build dreams, & enjoy the time we have together. Not interested in crypto investments, fake profiles asking for $ or other scams, please don't waste my time.
