Put everything out in the open up front - the good, the bad and the ugly - and from there, if there is a relationship meant to develop, it will have a better chance to be fruitful. It's like planting seeds: proper preparation has to be made for the best chance at producing a good crop. One of the last things I'll mention I've learned is not everything is worth trying to hold on to. Toxic relationships and toxic people are like acid that eats away at you. If you stay in the acid too long, when you come out of it, you will not recognize who you once were and you may not recognize who you are. It is at this point where most of us on this website can say we are. How we got here varies; but we all desire someone who will look at this acid-worn iteration of ourselves and say "I choose you just the way you are". This is a brief insight into the man I am.
