Im thinking seriously about moving from Brisbane Australia to Thailand as a retiree. Why you might ask? Well I’m going to bare my soul here. I have only been to Bangkok once years ago (loved the people and the temples). I have just spent 10 wonderful days in China (fourth time) only to come back to toxic (cant describe it any other way) Australia. Rude, uncaring, selfish, people (“its all about me” mentality). The greed here is toxic, hardly anybody is smiling or friendly anymore. Homelessness is getting worse with families living in cars and tents. Youth crime is out of control. and the politics is just awful. I cant be a part of what is going on here anymore. I want nicer. I have had a serious illness (leukaemia), so I know whats important and whats not. Why Thailand? I want to live in a place where people care about each other and are respectful and friendly. I would never cheat on my wife or partners. Im newly single after I finally got tired of my partner (of 8 years) destructive and selfish behavior. I would like to find a companion to love and respect (both ways). Go on lifes adventures. Take our time getting to know each other. Im easy going, fun and adventurous, loyal and protective and having never lost my ‘inner child’ I like to be playful and be a bit naughty with my girl. I don’t know whether that is ok in Thailand, but I love cuddling, displays of affection, holding hands etc. Love is meant to be beautiful and fun. I guess this subject needs to be discussed sooner or later. I read, “Sex is not taboo or dirty - it's natural and beautiful, pleasurable and fun - even for Thai women”. Have I got that right?, because I love to pleasure my lady. I’m planning on coming to Thailand in the next few months. I am reasonably well off, so I want to firstly rent, then buy something. I have no idea where in Thailand, it might depend on who I meet and want to settle down with.
